Description
Are you a big fan of the textures from Vanilla Weapons Expanded, but don't want to actually keep track of a bunch of versions of the vanilla guns with moderately different stats? Enter Stylified! This mod adds Ideology styles to retexture vanilla weapons using the VE textures, allowing you to enjoy the visuals from the fine folks at Vanilla Expanded while maintaining vanilla weapon balance.

Note that this mod contains no actual textures from Vanilla Weapons Expanded, and as such you must install the original mods in order to use this one.

For the intended experience, use Cherry Picker (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2633276599) to disable the ThingDef's for the VE Weapons so these textures are only used in the newly-added styles.

This mod is, itself, technically compatible with 1.5, but the dependent mods have not yet been updated, so if you try to use it on 1.5 it will throw errors. It still should be playable, since you don't actually need anything from the VE mods except the textures.

I want this, but I don't want to have to get rid of every Vanilla Expanded weapon myself.

Is there a list of what VE weapon additions stay as they're distinct enough and what get changed into skins, or it's up for players to customize that themselves with Cherry Picker?

Really nice, but seems to need too much work for my lazy ass. Just curious - why not actually make it in couple separate styles, that would do exactly same but without need of 3rd party mod?

I haven't modded Rimworld for maybe 2 years (and even then it was just music mods), so I might be mistaken, but isn't there a way to remove ThingDefs?

This mod seems to be a great way to take advantage of VE's awesome textures, while opting out of having an extra dozen functionally identical pistols. Having to manually disable each of the unwanted VE ThingDefs via an additional mod is clumsy and monotonous, though.

Either way, great stuff. Thanks for sharing :)

That's cool

The Tactical style, like all the other ones added, uses Vanilla Weapons Expanded textures for a new Ideology style. Tactical lets you reskin knives to look like Combat Knives, assault rifles to look like Battle Rifles, autopistols to Combat handguns, etc.
