Class description
Dreadnoughts / Battleships (BB) are heavy surface vessels, designed around heavy APS gun platforms, firing rail assisted shells at enemies, while packing a decently heavy armour to soak up all but the heaviest rounds. These vessels focus on engaging large surface ships and airships, having only a comparably light secondary armament and little to no missiles. A relatively light torpedo armament is usually present, however, to give these vessels some means of engaging submarines. These vessels are best to be escorted by dedicated AA ships.

The ship
The Summit class Battleship follows the same hybrid setup as the lead ship of the class, the Centaur. Summit was developed as a cheaper alternative, but keeping as many of the strengths Centaur has. As such, expect it to excel against medium to heavily armoured and armed ships. The combined use of guns and anti-ship missiles has, as a downside, the increase of cost over sheer combat effectiveness due to the increased vulnerability against active defences. However, it mitigates the downsides of either one of these weapon systems. Thus, Centaur can counter a larger variety of vessels than a dedicated missile or gun based ship would. Summit can counter almost every ship, bar submarines, that Neter can throw at it.
