Description


Features:
  • Shows ranks over friendly players that are close to you
  • Shows a mic icon when a player is speaking
  • Shows a red icon when a player is incapacitated
  • Shows a skull icon when a player is dead
  • Shows names over friendly players that you look at or are extremely close
  • Works with vehicles and shows crew count
  • Works on AI if you're in singleplayer
  • Squad members are shown in a slightly different color
  • Icons fade out at a very short distance (prevent screen clutter)
  • The highest rank, Colonel, is shown in white and can be seen further than others

Compatibility:
  • Works in singleplayer
  • Works in multiplayer
  • Works in public zeus servers

How To Use:
This is a composition not a mod!
Place the composition in eden or zeus to use it.


zeusCompositionScriptLevel = 2;[community.bistudio.com] is required for zeus.
Use Enable Composition Scripts if you want a quick solution.

No other dependencies or mods are required! It's all vanilla...

Hey, it looks like it's been a while since you last updated this mod, but I'm curious about how the max distance line works. Is it a set multiplier, or is the value in meters? I realized you made this script intended for a vanilla+ experience, but I'd like to use this composition for a modded operation. However, it seems like the max distance line does not work with mods. Is this because of the intended vanilla view, or is it the distance multiplier?

@GreasyMitch18, another option is to add Zeus to your mission and run it manually from there.

@GreasyMitch18, you have to place the composition inside the mission then save it, export it and have your server load that mission. Alternatively, you could copy the code from inside the composition and place it inside your missions init.sqf file.

@Bishop746, it's intentional because it's meant to be used in conjunction with "Team Map Icons".

Does anyone else have in issue in MP where activating the script removes the vanilla GPS ICON marker for players?

Love this. Do you have plans to introduce any sort of custom rank system that will pop up above the character? I've wanted custom titles for quite some time. For example, if you have the Admin title that will pop up above the character underneath the name/rank.
