Description
Introduction
Leshy is a character from Inscryption, another deck building roguelike centered on creature based combat. This mod introduces the Creature card type, which is used by the vast majority of his card pool.

Main Mechanics
Resources / Costs
Instead of costing energy, Creatures cost Blood, Bones, or nothing.
Pay Blood costs by sacrificing creatures equal to that cost. You gain a Squirrel at the start of your turn to help pay it.
You gain 1 Bone whenever a creature dies.

Creature Stats
Creatures have 2 numeric stats : Attack and Health.
At the end of each turn, creatures deal damage equal to their Attack to an enemy. One of your starter relics lets you designate a target.
Enemies damage creatures in play from right to left. When a creature has 0 remaining Health, it goes to the discard pile. You take the remainder, if any.

Creature Tribes
Most creatures belong to one of five tribes: Avian, Canine, Hooved, Insect, or Reptile. Some creatures are tribeless. The tribe is displayed in the card type section. Tribes synergize with many things.

Sigils
Sigils are special effects that many creatures have. A creature can gain additional Sigils via multiple methods.

Mysterious Stones
This Event appears on the map and allows you to sacrifice a creature to pass its Sigils to another. Only creatures without Sigils gained from prior events can give or receive Sigils this way.

Totem
A Totem gives creatures of a certain tribe a certain Sigil. Totem head and totem base Powers are used to set the tribe and Sigil respectively. When active, it's written as "Canines gain Airborne".

Developer's Note
Hello everyone! This is the first character mod I'm confident enough in to publish and boy has this been quite the journey. I started working on this early 2022 ish and had gone through several revamps and burnouts. The current version tries to remain true to Inscryption Act 1 and Kaycee's Mod with the base mechanics and events while taking creative and mechanical liberties. Speaking of creative liberties, I hope you guys like the Glitched Cards. I love that mechanic.

This mod has a lot of moving parts. Like holy hell, we have a lot going on. There are 29 different Sigils. 29!! And you can combine them in a variety of ways. Point being, there will be bugs. I will be shocked if me and my playtesters found all the bugs. If you find any, or have balance suggestions of any kind, please let me know!

Agreed, this is a neat idea and would be a top notch mod if it were developed in such a way as to exist in non-Leshy runs, much less respect the modding ecosystem proper. Don't wanna have to make a whole profile with just this mod!

It's a great mod, but it can break multiplayer runs if only some people play Leshy. I got soft-locked from a Goobert event because I had no creature cards. A simple solution would be an option to skip an event if you lack creature cards instead of forcing the player to interact with it.

I have played like 8-10 runs already and trying to learn the mod but never got to act3. I don´t know what else can I do...

its just so incredibly broken. im obviously playing on endless and have done this strategy about 6 times, 2 of them i died before i got it set up but 4 of the times i got it set up and by god its so broken once its actually set up... and lets be honest, if your playing endless mode no matter who your playing your ganna get to a point your op no matter what

My main issue with this strategy is that it takes a lot of investment and you must start investing right away. You listed a lot of keywords, some of which are rare only. If you don't get them in time you die. I personally have never liked it and have always opted for strategies I found more reliable. That being said, one of my playtesters forced Stoat every time so you are not alone. In the end I left it in despite it being potentially broken was because he found it a fun strat and the majority of my playtesters and I didn't use the strategy.

true, but ive noticed the BEST stratagy, is to just get a stoat, put the sigils bif, trif, leader, nine lives, armoured, and fudency and your golden... and after that you can get a lucky duplicate of that card twice you can get a full lineup of five stoats in 6 turns, and with the boon of goat's blood relic only 5 turns. infinitely upgrade the attack of the three stoats whenever going to a campfire and even if you cant kill first turn no matter the enemy the armor sigil garentees havign a second turn to kill... not ganna lie its incredibly op (or during but would have to repeat it)

I get what you mean, but I wanted to keep it similar to how it worked in Inscryption and an extra prompt every time you used it pay blood costs would get annoying as well.

i really like this mod but once you get to a full five monster crew, the monster with nine lives is kinda usless, so i was thinking that when you go to sacrifice a card with a sigil nine lives, you could add a quick do you want to waste all of its lives or just one, that way you can get rid of it for a better creature. ill be honest that its a feature that really isnt needed, ive played with this charactor countless times, but as a completionist having a single creature out of place annoys me, sorry if im making too many suggestions and what not

ok, btw the me first creature that can get infinite amount of sigils is broken... all you need is a squirll, and one of that card with the sigil fuedancy, rabbit hole and unkillable and in 14 turns you can get a full 5 slots full of just that card... pretty powerful especially when you add double strike and armoured on it

5 is more than enough. Orb slots are great. The limiting factor of slots is a defining mechanic for sacrificing. It makes it easier to play big costs without sacrificing big creatures and makes your max potential higher.
