California Coast Line V. 1.2

The Layout

This is the third edition of California's Coast Line. This part include my personal favorite, Metrolink's Keller Yard in its tiny entirety! Used as a graveyard for F59PHs, it has 4 tracks. Skybox surrounds it. Though its incomplete, it will be finished in the next version. Two Bridges are in this one, Cesar Chaves Bridge and the 101 Freeway. Deep in Adam-12 territory, the LA River is coming along nicely. The 101 Freeway will eventually get more detail.

AI Cars and Trains

Thier are no new AI services, just same as the last two versions.

There are a few roads and freeways on the layout. Sometimes the cars derail, and just putting them back on the same track where they where is fine.

Things to do:
  • Finish Keller Yard Skybox
  • Finish Skybox on the other side of the river

Intro to the Coast Line

Southern California's Coast Line is very much home turf for me, so modeling this will hopefully be pretty easy. My plan is to model all the way down to San Diego, releasing the map in bits as I build it.

Yeah, i dont even care if its geographically accurate, a superdetailed NEC would be fire. Cause on the NEC there overhead wire, cool signales, and little like industrial signal boxes and stuff everywhere

Indeed. I wish someone would make a Coaster/Surfliner Route. Or the NEC.

it is definitely one of the best maps i've seen. one that isn't a pure freight line and that is in the US

Alright. It’s a really good map so far and I would hope to see it either finished or completed to how far you want to go. It’s a really good map either way.

Yeah, to be honest, I kinda got burt out on it when I got to that big yard on the LA river, but Im thinking Im gonna cut out a portion, and continue after that soon. Sorry, i will start work on it soon when I get some other projects out of the way.
