This map had color picks that were based on an accidentally high saturation setting so on a default color correction (or no color correction) the map looks very washed out. I apologize for the inconvenience as by the time I realized the issue, I had already finished 90% of the map.

My submission for the bimonthly contest is called Midorioka, a fictional rural town in Shiga, Japan, and is an hour’s trip by train from Kyoto on the Tokaido main line. I made tons of revision versions and different ideas before really starting on the layout. This map was also a chance for me to experiment with lots of new techniques like skyboxing and learn a different build style. It was definitely a challenge building with almost 100% base game props especially starting 2 weeks late. There's lots of stuff that I could add, that I want to add, but overall it was a fun (painful) experience.
