Sorrona

Sorrona, The Cosmic Firefly, stars in Smack Studio! This sorceress from the astral sea is here in Smack for an unknown reason. Is she here to kill? Or does she fight purely out of defense? Whatever the case, her magic is not something to take lightly!

GAMEPLAY FEATURE: Desperation
When Sorrona reaches 100% or higher, her mask will break off. She will become desperate and her special moves will change, either slightly or drastically; anything to turn the fight in her favor.

NEUTRAL SPECIAL: Arcane Disk/Cursed Disk
Sorrona throws out a disk that causes opponents to bleed when hit. Under Desperation, the disk she throws out is cursed and has a vampiric effect, giving her a healing effect once the attack is finished.

SIDE SPECIAL: Rush/Hyperspeed
While her mask is equipped, Sorrona taps into transportation magic and reposition herself in the input direction. The rush doesn't do any damage (although it can reflect projectiles), but it's a good way to quickly follow up on a combo! Under Desperation, she taps into Hyperspeed instead and will zip right through opponents!

UP SPECIAL: Firefly/Frenzyfly
Sorrona turns into a firefly and flies wherever she wants, a burst of starlight occuring at the beginning and end of the transformation. In Desperation, the stars do more damage!

DOWN SPECIAL: Illusion / Illusory Punishment
She taps into an illusory form for simply a moment, waiting for an opponent to attack her. Should they attack the illusion, she teleports behind them to rush in with a slice of her glowing daggers! Under Desperation, the illusion lasts a slight bit longer and her follow-up is more dangerous to the opponent.

ULTRA: Beautiful Ruin
Sorrona transforms into an unstable star collapsing in on itself. After a brief moment of gravity and tension, she will explode with enormous force! The Ultra does more damage the closer the opponent is to the epicenter.


Sorrona is LAP-compatible with "Z_Sorrona" as her tag.


Sorrona will have a complete moveset overhaul sometime in the future.
