Join as commander in the joint effort between U.S. Military Assistance Command Vietnam (USMACV) and Commander Task Force 77 (CTF 77). Stationed in Vietnam, you need to prioritize enemy targets and ship orders to Strategic Air Command (SAC) and Tactical Air Command (TAC).

(I made a reshade preset for more immersion, includes cinematic DOF, color correction and tint)

Known issues
  • Not compatible with mod "SOG AI", it will break playing this scenario. It's not needed anyways, since it's mostly air ops.
  • Trees and objects might suddenly appear floating, this is due to a memory issue in the arma 3 engine.
    Can be partially fixed by upping the launcher parameter for "System Memory Limit" to at least 12288. The issue might return though, only later. If so, restart the scenario.
  • Ambient ground action might lower your fps. If so, turn it off in console with "random_fights = false"
  • Landing after missions is optional, use mousewheel action to find option to skip landing.
  • Deformer plugin is needed, it was used to edit terrains for air bases.
  • No saves available, due to performance issues. Successful missions are instead flagged as completed, and not selectable when selecting the next mission to play. Persistent on restarts. Most missions are short, so shouldnt be a major problem.
  • Bomb sight for high altitude heavy bomber, its not visible above ~1600 meters, due to it´s implementation with dive bombing in mind.
  • Read briefing-> mission notes, and controller/action notes for important info on some aspects of the game.
  • If stuck in "flyby/target" camera mode. Just press CAPS LOCK to get back to player view.
  • No handholding, this presupposes Arma 3 flying skills
  • If you just want to fly around, watch the scenery, without worrying about getting killed: Bring up the console
    and type: "player allowDamage false; vehicle player allowDamage false;" and execute.

Ok, I understand. Allthough the aircraft you use in this scenarios missions are not persistant, because you always spawn a new aircraft for each mission. So I don't see the need for it in this scenario.

There is no feature of mine that does that.
Allthough, in the debug console, you can type "vehicle player setDamage 0" if you need to repair your plane while flying. Works in any arma 3 SP mission, where you have debug console access.

HOW TO REPAIR THE DAMAGED JET?

The "floating objects" (mostly trees and rocks) in deformed areas seem to return if setting "System memory limit" too low in laucnher settings.

- Set "System memory limit" in launcher settings to at least 12888 (12GB)

The issue might return though, only later (Arma 3 engine memory leak perhaps in conjuntion with "Deformer" mod). If so, restart the scenario. See more in this workshop item description.

Well neither this or Rolling Thunder is a campaign as defined in Arma3. Allthough each one has multiple missions, technically they are scenarios. I have yet to learn how to create actual campaigns.

this one and the Rolling Thunder appears in scenarios list. Not the campaign. And it's not in the mods list either. Fix that please, look's really awesome
