Description
Opened a Ko-Fi account. Nobody asked me to and you gain nothing by tipping. If you like my nations enough that you still want to tip here's the link: https://ko-fi.com/casusbelli42

The early era of Tibernia started as an idea for Mythic Age Ermor (basically pre-EA). It leans Heavily on the myth of Romulus and Remus and the Aeneid. The civilised humans of the nation are equipped in Samnite and Etruscan style equipment, while the werewolves prefer heavier hoplite style armor. The middle and late age versions of this nation are also planned.
I recommend Powerwolf - Wolfborn as the musical background, as it is the source of the epithet.

This is the first nation I modded from scratch for Dom6 and is thus a bit more bare-bone than the others, but more content will be added in the future.

Loving the mod now that I've worked out the kinks with other mods overwriting portions of it. Are there any plans for unique Pretenders for this faction?

@Danwar Glad you like it ! The MA and LA version will have much less to do with Rome. LA would be like "dark gothic Papal states" while MA is more high medieval crusades. But the design for some units will be late roman period.

@ Lordlynel Thanks ! Fixed in the new patch !

Etrurian nobles seem to use fists instead of swords? just using your mods

I, by contrast, am a Romanophile but I've always been interested in how next to no fictional works depicting fantasy Romes take into account its origin story and early mythological history. Even though my interest is generally more toward the late empire, Wolf-people Romans is a breath of fresh air in that regard and I hope to see Tibernia's 'MA' and 'LA' versions too!

@ Ddraig Lleuad Sorry for the late reply. Yeah Rome is not my favorite setting for a nation, but I am happy how it turned out at it sets up the later eras of Tibernia nicely, which, I hope, will be more unique and interesting. I am very glad you are enjoying my mods. Right now working on Alar, but Ulua is coming soon(ish). I have quite a bit of content planned for it so I am scared of starting working on the port

I just wanted to extend my appreciation - Tibernia isn't my bag (Rome delenda est!) but it's your most recent mod upload, and I've seen a bunch of your nations that have been fun to try out. MA Fomoria, Sinkiang, Was'Set... I'm looking forward to seeing Ulua ported to 6, I had my eye on that back in 5 but never had a chance to try it :)

@ Hajduk Sorry for the late reply and thanks for playing !

1) Lore-wise they are not slaves, merely a conquer people integrated into society. They are mostly there for flavor, though they do have the long spear for repelling, so might me a niche there.

2) Again lore-wise you have many more pontifexes then heroes, which are supposed to be your thugs. However I realize that gameplay wise, a a pontifex may be a better thug. will have to lower their combat stats a bit.

3) Good call, have such a spell planed for the LA follow up but somehow overlooked putting one for EA

I've really enjoyed playing this mod! I'm up to about turn 25-30. Kudos for the hard work.

Some constructive feedback:

1) I never see reason to make the human spear troops. Maybe consider making them slaves (it fits the lore description) and giving one of the human commanders taskmaster to give incentives to build them for patroling or sieges?

2) Why is the werewolf hero with 2 paths 4CP, but the Pontifex with 5 paths and 2 holy only 2CP? For balance reasons, you may want to consider making the Pontifex 4CP because it is a 7 path mage (including the priest) with regen

3) This nation has no paths to cast solar eclipse, but it would be very thematic to do so given the association of werewolves with the moon and having 50 DV. Can you make a unique spell like say "Lunar Nightfall" that copies solar eclipse but with different path requirements like high astral and nature?

@ Myst Yeah a wolf tribe hero could work well

@seanbon Good Idea, giant wolves in an enchanted forest seem like a good source of inspiration, cant believe I forgot about it.

@oldmidgetwillow - Thanks for the feedback. The Chorus spells were implemented but forgot to make them available to Tibenia.. fixed now

The Alpha size is also unintended. Blame illwinter that the "white wolf" monster has same stats as dire wolf except for some weird reason is size 3. I fixed it
oldmidgetwillow 14 Apr, 2024 @ 1:16pm
Also, Pack Alphas can't lead Dire Wolves because the wolves have a minimum leader size of 4 and pack alphas are size 3, which seems like an oversight?
