Description

This mod adds info about what mods have updated since you last saved your game. On startup it will check against your most recently saved game but if you load an older save it will rescan based on that save.
It will also check if RimWorld itself has updated.

If any of the active mods have changed you can show a list of these with convenient links to the Steam, changelog or any other defined link of the mod. If there is a Discord-link in the description, a link will be shown in the list. There is also an icon indicating if the mod is in the local mod-folder or the Steam-folder.

You can also enable checking all installed mods instead of just enabled mods as well as fetch mod-info online from Steam. If you want to sort the mod-list by update-date there is a mod-option for that too.

If you have a really bad time and the game crashes before you can show this window, the mod also logs a list of the changed mods in the game-log on startup.

This mod makes it easier for you to find out which mods have been updated since the last time you played, for example when trying to find out what mod has started causing an issue.

Since modding is just a hobby for me I expect no donations to keep modding. If you still want to show your support you can gift me anything from my Wishlist or buy me a cup of tea.

  • See if the the error persists if you just have this mod and its requirements active.
  • If not, try adding your other mods until it happens again.
  • Post your error-log using HugsLib or the standalone Uploader and command Ctrl+F12
  • For best support, please use the Discord-channel for error-reporting.
  • Do not report errors by making a discussion-thread, I get no notification of that.
  • If you have the solution for a problem, please post it to the GitHub repository.
  • Use RimSort[github.com] to sort your mods

@Nev By default Steam will not download updates when a game is running but sure, if you change that setting then it could be an issue

i just had some issues with another mod (Adaptive Storage Framework). at first i didn't look at it, because according to this, no mods were updated.
on looking closer, it only checks mod updates since the last savegame... apparently the mod was updated during my last play session. so there's a blind spot here

Ah, I see :/ Thanks for trying

@Amroth Sorry, I cant replicate this at all. Tested it with xml extensions mod-settings and it shows up as normal. One of your other mods seems to cause this.

@Mlie I got you a log, luckily this time it gave an error to read and identify

@Amroth Ive never had any issues with the vanilla mod-options screen regarding fps. I assume its connected to the mods loaded. Tha might be something you should look into as well.
Amroth 31 Mar @ 2:05am
@Mlie I understand your point, but the regular mod options screen has always tanked my fps for some reason. It always drops down to 10fps when the game itself is running at 90fps.

The xml extensions version lets me browse through the options at 70fps. Not to mention I can add a button to the toolbar to directly access them, AND it remembers the last page I had open.

I don't get any errors when it happens, but I'll resub and share the log when it happens.

@Amroth This mod has mod-options.
I recommend using the vanilla mod-options screen as xml extensions version of it does not support all mods, HugsLib options for example are not shown at all. You should really just use their screen for xml extension mods.
But please share the log of this issue and Ill look into what their problem is.

I had to remove this because it was locking me out of the XML Extensions mod option screen (which is far more performant than the regular mod options window.

if you open it, you can no longer close it (in XML Extensions page).

@Mlie, if this is something you'd want to fix, could you @ me so I can resub?

@Pong It will show any mod that has updated locally regardless of its version
