Mr. Game & Watch

Description
The LCD Enigma returns for yet another round!
This take on Mr. G-dubbs is primarily based on Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, with a few changes here and there. His super-light weight and fast-hitting moves make him a spry glass cannon.

Most sprites are made by Arthur Butcher (sourced from the Spriter's Resource,) but I've made a few edits and unique sprites to add touches that suit my mood.

Mr. Game & Watch is no stranger to Aether, but just incase you need a refresher of his moves (or know what this one does differently,) here's a rundown;

JAB can be tapped again to start a Multi-Jab. Once the Multi-Jab is going it's perfectly OK to just keep holding the button.
UTILT is a two-hit move that's a good anti-air and perfect for combos.
FTILT is a fast and meaty swing of a chair. Tell foes "go that way, please!" in the most polite way you can think of.
DTILT has a nefarious angle, but it also has a Very Big Windbox that affects aerial foes, but can also save you from projectiles! Smash 4 is a silly silly game.

DATTACK has some oomf to it's relatively choppy movement. Don't use it too close!
USTRONG is a bit slow, but you're invincible in the front limbs.
FSTRONG is speedier and packs a punch with a good amount of disjointed range infront of you.
DSTRONG hits on both sides with two hitboxes. Hit foes with the Hammers to send them up, or hit them up-close to send at a very low angle.

NAIR has two main hitbox groups, the bowl and the fish. The bowl keeps foes in the middle, while the fish can dragdown. It's a bit hard to react, but you can tell which is which by the hitsounds/visuals.
UAIR is two hits that are good for combos or ending a high-up confirm, but also have very very silly windboxes that you can use to stall foes' descent a little longer. Very fun in the Hodan matchup.
FAIR lingers a lot and packs a punch! String them together at early %s and send foes away at later ones.
DAIR is going to be one of your main moves. Combo the initial, spiking hitbox into the landing impact to set up foes for whatever followup you want! This move doesn't stall-n-fall, but will make your Gravity a little heavier.
BAIR is a multi-hit followed by a powerful strike with your friend, the turtle. Catch foes in the air and give 'em a chomp!

NSPECIAL can lob up to 3 pieces of meat by tapping the special button. They'll always launch in the same order; Sausage, Shrimp, Steak, each at their own angles. Send one or two high and try and get a followup!
USPECIAL flings you into the air, followed by a dreamy flight with a Parachute. Once the Parachute's up you can act out of it with whatever you want!
FSPECIAL rolls a number between 1 and 9. Anything can happen, and it'll never be the same number twice!
DSPECIAL can absorb certain projectiles and save them for later. Collect 3 charges and get ready to unleash a panic!

Runes are also fully supported! From super-charged Air Acceleration to Cancelling Hitstun and Stopping Time, there's lots of silly things you can do in the Abyss.

i dunno what else to say ! i had fun making this. a lot of G&W's exist but i wanted to make my own entirely because none of them made little footstep sounds and i like the footstep sounds. so i hope you also like footstep sounds, they're silly. so i hope you can enjoy yet another take on Mr. Game & Watch in the world of Aether! (there's like what, 6 now ?)

Take care !

I like that you included both bell taunts. I've always liked using them consecutively.

to reply to mayoman - i don't know ! i would love to make something with unique assets one day but medical issues are in the way of that, so i guess it's just. whatever i'm interested in next and if it has already existing sprites somewhere. we'll just have to see !

to reply to homeschool - there is currently no compatibility with anything i think ! i'm not too Savvy in terms of the rivals workshop scene (i just live under my boulder without downloading too many things) so i don't think i've made him specifically compatible with anything else in the workshop. i hope that's ok ! (and if you have any suggestions on what's "hip" to make compatibility for, i can't guarantee i'll get around to it but i'll be sure to take notes !)

Oh, that actually makes sense. I agree though. The footstep sounds are great. When playing him in Smash, I often run around during free moments just to make that sound.

Rivals characters in general don't usually make footstep sounds so I guess it's more in-line with the style (and less of an immediate thought,) but i'm a little bit of a sucker for Sound Design and also a G&W main in smash so it's one of those things i associate him with. i love the little tip-taps. :yjfblock:
