OK, I figured it out; I scaled the sprite horizontally but did not re-crop the image, leaving a gap above her head. This seems to have fixed the issue.

For some reason the swine wretch corpse has the top of it's head chopped off. I tried fixing it myself by making the .png narrower but strangely that made no difference.
