Evergreen Way

These two apartments are located on Evergreen Way.

The taller brick building was constructed in 1899 as a Townhouse for the Johnson family. Although having the appearance of an apartment, all three floors were occupied by one household. The property stayed in the family until 1954 when it was sold to a local housing developer. The building was then configured into four small apartments.

As part of the Bricksville Revitalisation Project in the 1990's, the building was upgraded to accommodate modern fire-prevention systems and received a completely new interior layout.

To this day it's still an attractive option those looking to live close to Downtown.

The building to the right, with the wooden cladded facade, was constructed some twenty years after the Johnson building. This small property was home to a family-run soliciting firm, which operated within the building for more than sixty years.

The building is now a private residence after it was sold in the 1980's.
