Tristavian Shipyard Inc: Small Craft (Unmodded): Update 04/10/2014

See forum thread http://forums.keenswh.com/post/tristavian-shipyard-inc-6997264?&trail=155 for full details.

IX1-52 'Dragonclaw' Interceptor

The IX1-52 Dragonclaw space superiority interceptor was the first fighter released by Tristavian Shipyards Inc. A leaked early prototype found its way into the hands of several corporations, both friendly and rival but the final production model only recently began rolling off the factory lines.

The IX1-52 follows the TVSI philosophy of small 1-man fighters focussing on speed and agility to win fights. Many inexperienced pilots will find the Dragonclaw a difficult and alarming craft to handle; the enormous forward acceleration outpaces the vast majority of manned vehicles in current production.

Designed for ‘Newtonian style’ flying, the IX1-52 uses the main engines for most course changes and can effect full 90°+ course changes in under 6 seconds from cruising speed. The forward facing ‘brake’ thrusters are token at best with the ship designed to rapidly flip 180° and burn retrograde bringing it to a halt in a remarkably short distance.

The Dragonclaw is generator powered and contains ammo enough to keep it in the fight for a significant period of time but usually operates from carriers and other large ships, confirming to 4-2 TVSI hatch standards.

IX1-52-R 'Blackdragon' Recon

The IX1-52-R ‘Blackdragon’ is a reconnaissance variant of TVSI’s Dragonclaw. Advanced communication equipment and a stealth-coated hull allow it to drift through enemy lines while providing better decision making abilities than an unmanned drone.

The blackdragon is dual battery powered for extended range operations and to lower its signature radius but should it ever be discovered its main defence is the phenomenal forward acceleration, outpacing almost any known craft including many drones. As a final resort, the Blackdragon still carries dual Gatling cannons to cut its way out of tricky situations.

IX1-52-Rs are primarily carrier launched and confirm to TVSI 4-2 hatch standards.

SSB-2 'Warlock' Strike Bomber

The SSB-2 ‘Warlock’ was the final of three ship classes designed by TVSI engineers to complement the Avalon Command Carrier. As fast as an interceptor, the SSB-2 is a fast strike bomber designed to fall on enemy capital ships with its 4 rocket launchers and retreat before enemy fighters can muster.

Due to the nature of the installed rocket launchers, Warlocks are designed for regular reloading and will often frequently return to reload during an extended engagement, returning shortly after once enemy ships are again distracted. Warlocks are usually dispatched to soften large crafts, destroying turrets and utilizing any weak spots to cripple the opponent, but they also have the fire power in a pack to obliterate smaller ships like Corvettes.

Deployed from any 4-2 hatch equipped carrier, the SSB-2 uses a single battery which can be recharged from three small on-board reactors (which also serve as emergency backup).

WARNING: Due to an existing game bug, firing the launchers at anything other than moving directly prograde will usually blow the ship up. This is a KSWH bug which will be fixed; there was nothing I could do with the design to mitigate this!

if you use setoolbox you can find all the stuff in the world and movve them closer to you i recommend putting it 1k out from the avalon so you can find it (dont move anything that is less than 1k away because those ships are really the hangar doors on the avalon) if you add me to your freinds list and send me your email then i can send you a copy of the save file i have so you can see what is there (i also fixed the dragon claw in this save but am still makeing some repairs to the avalon as it dont have full conveyer support because its an early version that you put out)

Aaaah, that's a few people have said there's a Dragonclaw somewhere in the Avalon world! Usually I cut and paste a ship to a fresh world before release but due to lag issues with the Avalon I didn't. I need to go exploring and try to find it! It will have been an old model anyway as I worked on it further before making this world. Still, won't hurt to have a quick re-check of the conveyors!

Rockets should now be fixed unless they've broken them again! :P

Thanks for the conveyor report, will check it out later and see what I can find.
