Description
This mod requires you have both the Campaign and Multiplayer of Halo Combat Evolved installed on MCC.

The Rush to Cote d' Azur'

The Rush[www.halomaps.org] was a very short Halo Custom Edition singleplayer map made by Offspring in late 2006. The orginal level wasn't very polished in hindsight, but one has to remember that this was during the early days of Halo 1 modding. Not much was known or well documented in regards to singleplayer level design. Custom campaign levels were seen as an absolute rarity, and the only other custom singleplayer level that came before that was p0lar_bear's Bio Halo. That being said, the MCC version before you is more than a just a mere port, but an attempt to make it more engaging & well polished!

Tools, Guns, Unique Map Changes

- Intro has a music stinger.
- Caution strip shaders replaced with generic light shaders. Human textures do not mix with Forerunner, so I replaced it.
- CRT Marines replaced with classic Armored Marines.
- Broken Mjolnir Mix axed.
- Encounters for each section completely re-mapped with actual pathfinding.
- Map shaders improved, especially with bump mapping.
- Crappy water! It's not hard to deduce that Offspring originally intended to add water to the map.
- Jackals placed up high were swapped with Slugman snipers.
- Stock sniper rifle replaced with Digsite sniper rifle.
- Turrets added to last encounter.
- Two Ghost pilots added to last encounter.
- Rocket Launcher and Fuel Rod Cannon available at the last encounter section.
- Health pack replacement in-between both encounter sections.
- Unique prop placements accross the map.
- Both encounter sections now have music, both being A Walk in the Woods and a drum cut of Covenant Dance.
- Additional clean-up of the script.
- Lightmaps completely re-calculated from the ground-up.
- CO-OP ENABLED!

The Bugs Followed Me Home...

- Digsite sniper sometimes prevents damaged shields to re-charge after taking a shot. Swapping to another weapon does fix it.
- Sometimes the mid-point checkpoint fails to register. This might just be an issue with Halo 1 in general.

I think Offspring intended to follow-up with another level, but they went MIA after initial release.
