PS Ruthin Castle (1883)

In 1883, the PS Ruthin Castle, a modest paddle steamer, was launched for a small shipping company. Despite her small size and limited passenger space, she became a vital lifeline for coastal communities, ferrying cargo along rugged coastlines and winding rivers. Named after a local fortress, she weathered storms and served faithfully, becoming a beloved fixture in the community. Though technology advanced, her legacy endured as a symbol of resilience and the enduring spirit of the sea.
