Unread Chat Notification + Classic IM Sound

This is an update of the original mod, with added features, options, and bug fixes!

This mod helps resolve the issue of people missing player chat messages and system messages while playing on Multiplayer servers.



Upon receiving a chat message when the chat box is closed, or while the chat box is not scrolled to the bottom and in focus, a Red Chat Bubble Notification will appear near the Upper Right Corner of the screen, next to the clock display.

A classic "Instant Message Sound" will follow after the Chat Bubble Notification to give an Auditory Notification as well!

The chat box will automatically close after one in-game hour of silence.

This can be disabled by setting the chat box minimum opacity to anything other than 100%, or by locking the chat box with the lock icon.


Fixed a Bug in the original mod which caused the notification to be called constantly when you or another player were Shouting, or Whispering.


You can adjust a few settings for personal taste.

• Toggle the Alert Sound On/Off
  
• Toggle the Alert Sound On/Off when the Chat Box is -Not- Scrolled to the Bottom
  
• Adjust the Volume of the Alert Sound
  
• (NEW) Choose between Four Nostalgic Instant Messenger Sounds

The Default Alert Sound is Classic Nostalgia, from 1990's AOL, and can be changed to other classic Instant Messenger Sounds if desired, including ICQ, Yahoo Messenger, and MSN Messenger.

Choose whatever sound that tickles your nostalgia bone!

ICQ's "Uh-Oh" is my favorite!
