On February 21st, 2009, Nate Marquardt took on Wilson Gouveia on the main card of UFC 95 as he fought to climb up the standing in the Middleweight division.

The dynamic Marquardt unleashed a brutal combination in the third round, putting a series of strikes together that more resembled a Tekken style ten-string combo than typical MMA offense. Within that series, Marquardt spun into a frenzy with a big high roundhouse, using the momentum to carry him into a spin backfist, and from there, a power straight punch.

The Marquardt Combination does comparable damage to other front grapple strike rushes, stuns the opponent afterwards and can trigger a Striking CRITICAL.
