Karkinos-class System Patrol Craft

The Karkinos-class System Patrol Craft is the intercept counterpart to the Hydra-class currently undergoing trials. The Karkinos uses forward firing launchers for precision strikes while relying on gatling turrets for point defense. While not currently equipped with a gravity deflector hull space has been set aside should it be deemed necessary. Crew accomodations are adequate for an extended local patrol but lack entertainment and excersize facilities.

While this is an intercept vessel, Firestorm Shipyards will never produce a light armor hull larger than a one man fighter as it is far too vulnerable to all forms of damage.
