Actually yeah it's doable, would require a rewrite of the quadtree though

im no programmer but can you make it so that the "fog tiles" get bigger the further away they are from the light source so that you need way less "fog tiles" to fog up the whole map?

Yes, unfortunately we don't have access to actual shaders and visual effects so we have to make do with spamming down sprites which is veeery slow

It's a great concept and id like to play it but it makes your gpu explode when you zoom out more than 3 tiles
