Mori_Clan_Trait_Fix.pack

Description
The Mori. Probably nobody's favourite clan.

The Mori clan trait: 'Increased campaign map movement range for all ships' does not work.

This mod gives the Mori a +15% movement range for their ships.

It also corrects the following:

> Campaign movement for the Mori Nanban trade ship.

> The fire risk modifier for all Sengoku bune vessels is increased to match the other sail ships.

> The harbour in the Mori home province is corrected to allow recruitment of the medium bune.

> Some values for the Mori Sengoku bune have been changed in the unit_stats_naval table to match those of the generic sengoku bune:

>> Side_panels_above_water_1_top_critical
>> Side_panels_above_water_2_critical
>> Prow_panels_above_water_critical
>> Stern_panels_above_water_critical

I don't know in what way these values are used in the game (if at all), but there is no reason that they should be different between the default unit and the Mori version.

I'm not really sure how to respond to that. Google translate didn't help me either :)

I don't know. I suggest you subscribe to it and try it out. The Mori start with a boat so you wouldn't even need to complete a full turn to find out.

Does the unofficial patch not address the 15% movement range issue? Just out of curiosity.

Thanks @markeason - you're right I'm running other mods too, none of them changed units though which is why I didn't think I needed the found fix (namely, battle camera, weather changer, and a few other cosmetic ones) but I will give that mod a try and let you know

Have fallen in love with the Mori, those Wako Raiders are no joke esp . with attack upgrades! Charging into the AI bows right under their nose due to forward deployment it's great fun!

It can be. It's very good if you want a trade based economy. It is possible to win without a navy though, especially the short campaign - unless you are the Chosokabe, who will be stuck on Shikoku without a navy :)

Thanks for the feedback Lee. I've not experienced this, are you running any other mods at the same time? It can be a problem with Mods that change units, I forget why. I always run with a Mod called Arrowcannon_sound_fix, which may be the reason I have not experienced the problem.

Hi - thanks for this, in theory it should be great however for some reason it changes the matchlock sounds into cannons (but not the bows?) - any ideas on how to fix this?

SenPie69 - Blasphemer. Such heresy has no place on this thread :)

The Mori have their wako raiders. 1 turn to recruit, cheap as chips, vanguard deployment. Koku for koku one of the best sword units in the game.

I captured the Black ship a couple of times but don't bother with it anymore. Like the Great Guard, and the big boat that you get when you become shogun, it's not worth the upkeep cost.
