the music mod definitely affects vanilla files, it modifies vanilla instruments to have an inventory slot for the new music sheet system. you put the sheet inside the instrument like a container, then carry the instrument to play that song.
i have a feeling it is a case of "trying to put a large container inside another container". the stand would need the inventory slot to be a new "container slot", not an item slot.

Yeah, no the "[Music mod] RIMM Reworked" compatibility work has been done at this time. And as far as I can see, the RIMM doesn't require compatibility (since it doesn't affect vanilla files).
Clarifying question: the Guitar Stand is installed on all participants of the game session or only on you ?
