It's still worth keeping the original PKP pack, as remaking all of the vehicles included will take a while. You'll still be able to differentiate between my mods and PKP pack though, by workshop item ID and a slightly different naming scheme.
Compared to SM42 in PKP pack, my SM42 is correctly divided into two separate versions with according changes in the model, textures and stats, while the pack simply merged them both into one locomotive.
My model is also significantly improved and optimized, while the textures are more uniform and are not phototextures.
