IMPORTANT:
This mod relies on custom shaders to work properly - you MUST have X2WOTCCommunityHighlander installed when using mods with custom shaders!

*Please note that the Shadow Company voice pack is NOT a requirement - merely a suggestion for those who may want the full package. The mod will work fine without it. If you don't want it, then feel free to ignore it.

INTEL ENTRY # 9597
INTEL ITEM: "SHADOW COMPANY"

----------------------------------------------------------

"Supposedly, they're an elite group of PMCs whose ferocity in combat rivals that of the Skirmishers, with an operation so clandestine it puts even the Reapers to shame. Even with our vast underground networks of contacts and informants the intel we’ve managed to acquire on these guys is minimal at best. However, in all the firsthand accounts and old government reports we could gather, one name keeps coming up: “Shadow Company.”

According to the fragments of intel our research teams managed to piece together, Shadow Company was/is a Tier 1 private military corporation made up of former U.S. Army Rangers operating as a freelance paramilitary force taking contracts on the government level. Their last employer before the invasion was one Lt.Gnl. Hershel Shepherd, who is presumed dead after a conflict of some sort left their forces shattered. They were most likely forced into hiding shortly following the alien invasion of Earth, and that’s where the trail goes cold. Last any of our contacts heard, they're being led by an individual under the callsign "Oxide." Whether this is a single person or a conglomerate of high-ranking executive officials is yet to be determined.

Nevertheless, while we have not yet been able to locate this shadowy organization, harrowing stories and firsthand accounts of a deadly, well-coordinated cadre of soldiers-for-hire continue to persist. If only we could get a lock on these guys, maybe they'd see things our way."

Well, this is probably my biggest mod to date, and one that has been in the works for almost 2 years. This was the first cosmetic mod I ever worked on, and was started in late July of '22 - being scrapped and redone 2 times since then.

The OG MW2 Shadow Company is my favorite military unit from any game ever. Their sleek uniforms, deep intimidating voices and organized operation are just plain badass. They were put onto the Steam workshop long ago in a Modern Warfare armor pack, but their customizability is low, their textures are lower-res, and there are multiple flaws with the original models which this mod corrects. All of this was passion-driven, and I have put an immeasurable amount of time and work into these guys. Please consider giving the mod a try, and rating/favoriting if you're satisfied with how it turned out.

Also, if you're wondering about the low file size, it's because I cooked/compressed the mod packages. The original size was 76 MB.

Have fun, stay well, and God bless you, friend.

Credits:
- Infinity Ward and Activision for making the models.
- Lester The Terran & Grei Shoutmon for providing some of the preview screenshots.
- Resistance Firearms, [WotC] Insurgency: Sandstorm :: Weapon Pack, [WotC] Call of Duty: MODERN WARFARE (2019) :: Standard Weapon Collection, [WOTC] Resident Evil Village: Weapon Pack and [WotC] M60 'The Pig' for the guns used in the preview shots.

Thanks man, that’s really nice to hear. While I’m not the biggest fan of MW3, I’ll keep Delta Force in the back of my mind. No promises that I’ll get to them, though.

Once again, an incredible mod! I really love the output, keep it up. Your mods are really cool. I was wondering if you were going to make a mod (Delta Force) for MW3. I really love the atmosphere of MW2/MW3 and it's complicated to find mods. You are the only one who makes them, just for that, thank you.

Ah shame, hope you will find time for modding again. Anyway thanks for many awesome mods and good luck then.

AW is something I’ve always been tempted to tackle. Unfortunately my life has gotten substantially busy over the past 2 months, and I’ve had to take a soft retirement from X2 modding as a result.

@The Unslain Dragon So I want to ask then. Did you played Advanced Warfare or nah? I think both US Marines and ATLAS Mercs in it look good.

Sorry man, but I only port cosmetics from games that I've played before or are generally interesting to me. GoW is not among them.

@The Unslain Dragon Would you be able to do "Locust" armor and heads/faces from Gears of War 1-3, please and thank you?
