I deactivated all addons and restarted the game. Nothing. Guess it's only fitting with how shy they are.

thats very unusual considering its a very simple mod (just swapping a static prop with a new model)
have you tried it in other maps? are you playing online? are you playing with any other mods that tamper with map props?

So I don't think it works? I've been testing Dark Carnival same as the image. It's not conflicting with any of my mods either.
