Description
706 bricks.

My new version of the Messerschmitt Me-262. As always it's an approximation, not a 1:1 replica.

The old version was a very early build of mine and even after replacing the wings with more accurate ones it's not that great so when I was bored yesterday I decided to have another go. This is far from perfect but a bit closer to the original size and proportions.

This is the pure fighter version nicknamed Schwalbe (German: "Swallow"), while the fighter-bomber version was called Sturmvogel (German: "Storm Bird").

The Me-262 was a fighter aircraft and fighter-bomber, and it was the world's first operational jet-powered fighter aircraft.
The fighter version was mainly intended for bomber interception and their fighter escort, and was armed with 4 x 30 mm MK 108 cannon (4 x the 4x2x2 "big machineguns" with HE).

CONTROLS
Alt controls to fly
W/S: Variable throttle.
A/D: Yaw / Ground steering.
Up/Down arrows / Mouse: Pitch.
Left/Right arrows / Mouse: Roll.
X / Disable Steering: Landing gear.
Fire action 1 / Num 1: Fire cannons.

Notes
- Since the current "dynamic" aerodynamics in the game is like it is (read utter sh*t) flying this thing occasionally feels like falling down (or up) stairs since especially pitch gets so jerky due to the different levels of lift generated, and under 300kph this thing is very hard to control since there is basically no lift or control surface output so be careful when landing.
- As always German WW2 airbrushed camouflage isn't possible to recreate in the game so I go with a sort of blend between the two common green colours used for one of them.

Comparing you're old Me-262 creation to this new one is a very nice upgrade.
Keep doing more.
