UPDATE!
New firing mechanism for rockets.

My new version of the Messerschmitt Me-262. As always it's an approximation, not a 1:1 replica.

The old version was a very early build of mine and even after replacing the wings with more accurate ones it's not that great so when I was bored yesterday I decided to have another go. This is far from perfect but a bit closer to the original size and proportions.

This is the fighter version nicknamed Schwalbe (German: "Swallow"), while fighter-bomber versions were called Sturmvogel (German: "Storm Bird").

The Me-262 was a fighter aircraft and fighter-bomber, and it was the world's first operational jet-powered fighter aircraft.
The fighter version was mainly intended for bomber interception and their fighter escort, and was armed with 4 x 30 mm MK 108 cannon (4 x the 4x2x2 "big machineguns" with HE). This version of the fighter is also carrying 14 R4M rockets, or their closest ingame equvalent if not using the in-game rocket pods (I don't like to use them for this purpose since they have no trajectory).
The R4M, an abbreviation for Rakete, 4 kilogramm, Minenkopf (English: Rocket, 4 kilogram, Mine-head), was also known by the nickname Orkan (English: Hurricane) due to its distinctive smoke trail when fired, was a folding-fin air-to-air rocket used by the Luftwaffe at the end of World War II. It was mainly used to target allied bombers since even the Me 262:s 4 30 mm cannons often weren't enough to get a kill.
In reality the rockets were quite tiny at 812 mm long and 55 mm in diameter and the Me 262 would carry 24 of them but due to the sizes of some essential bricks (fuel tanks) the ones in the game are a bit larger and also limited to 14.

CONTROLS
Alt controls to fly
W/S: Variable throttle.
A/D: Yaw / Ground steering.
Up/Down arrows / Mouse: Pitch.
Left/Right arrows / Mouse: Roll.
X / Disable Steering: Landing gear.
Fire action 1 / Num 1: Fire cannons.
Fire action 2 / Num 2: Fire rockets. Each rocket fires individually now.

Notes
- Since the current "dynamic" aerodynamics in the game is like it is (read utter sh*t) flying this thing occasionally feels like falling down (or up) stairs since especially pitch gets so jerky due to the different levels of lift generated, and under 300kph this thing is very hard to control since there is basically no lift or control surface output so be careful when landing.
- As always German WW2 airbrushed camouflage isn't possible to recreate in the game so I go with a sort of blend between the two common green colours used for one of them.

Feel free to edit, but if you reupload publicly in any way please acknowledge the original creation and creator.

Have fun!

IF YOU DON'T GET THE CORRECT VERSION UN-SUB AND RE-SUB! Steam Workshop is weird that way that it seems to keep a local version saved which won't update, but re-subing usually helps.
