Flugfelag Islands & Air Iceland Connect

Domestic and regional arm of Iceland's national carrier Icelandair through holding company Icelandair Group. The company was founded in 1997, when Icelandair domestic service Flugleidir merged with another domestic airline, Flugfelag Nordurlands. The Flugfelag Islands brand and its winged horse logo were used previously by Icelandair between 1959 until 1979 when it was dropped upon merger with Loftleidir. In 2017 the airline was renamed in Air Iceland Connect and in 2021 merged into Icelandair.
