LIM Adula | Survival Ready

The Adula-Class Freighter was designed to head convoys of Calliopes, being much bulkier with much more fuel and having guest quarters onboard to facilitate a unique capability - docking fighters to the outboard docking rings and housing their pilots and weapons operators onboard when not actively escorting the fleet. dignifying the Adula's position as flagship of the fleet, it also has a robust engineering section and a small canteen paired with a large observation/conference deck with call-in screens for the senior staff and captains of each ship in formation.

Though it heads the fleet, it being a bulked-up Calliope retained its original compliment of 2x gatling turrets and 3x assault cannon turrets, though giving the ability to upgrade to artillery turrets with ease via twin dorsal airlocks giving easy access to the outside even when planetside.

Although all of the turrets are linked to the central cargo grid, the Primary Assault Turret (located on the front of the dorsal spine) instead has an off-grid magazine to keep any trigger-happy gunners from drawing too much ammunition when used in its manual mode.

Maintenance was made easier with the entire grid's services placed behind the engineering section. Though lacking a direct entrance, the modules are easily accessible via the wall behind the engineering section or through the sides of the rear - in the bespoke thruster exhaust canal.

Due to the more rugged and industrial career focus, the interior is reflective of this with only having a few colors by default. You can easily spruce this up with your crew, however, if you feel that another aesthetic is of better value to you. The industrial aesthetic, however, does not carry over to the Adula-M, which instead fills the role of a light cruiser.
