Description
Mission Briefing: Daytime IED Location and Extraction

Objective: Locate and neutralize two IEDs before they detonate, ensuring minimal civilian casualties, and then proceed to the designated extraction point.

1. Situation Overview
Location: Urban area with high civilian density.
Time: Daytime operation.
Threat: Presence of two IEDs, terrorists, and potential civilian casualties.
2. Mission Details
Primary Objective: Locate and secure two IEDs.
Secondary Objective: Evacuate all team members to the extraction point safely.
3. Team Composition
Team Leader (TL)
Demolition Expert (Demo)
Recon Specialist (Recon)
Medic
Security Detail (2-3 Operators)
4. Equipment and Gear
Standard Weapons: Rifles, sidearms, non-lethal options.
Detection Tools: Metal detectors, bomb-sniffing dogs, drones with cameras.
EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) Kits: For disarming IEDs.
Communication Gear: Secure radios with earpieces.
Medical Kits: For treating any casualties.
5. Rules of Engagement
Minimize Civilian Casualties: Engage only if necessary.
Positive Identification (PID) Required: Before engaging potential threats.
Use Non-lethal Options: When possible to subdue suspects.
6. Phases of Operation
Phase 1: Insertion
Approach the Area: Covertly to avoid alerting terrorists.
Recon: Utilize drones and Recon Specialist to scout for threats and IED locations.
Phase 2: IED Location
Secure Perimeter: Establish a secure area to prevent civilian interference.
Detection: Use metal detectors, bomb-sniffing dogs, and drones to locate IEDs.
Civilian Management: Direct civilians away from danger zones, use non-lethal methods if necessary.
Phase 3: IED Neutralization
Demo and Recon Specialists: Work together to identify and neutralize IEDs.
Cover: Security detail provides cover and watches for any terrorist activity.
Communication: Maintain constant communication with the team and command center.
Phase 4: Extraction
Rally Point: Once IEDs are neutralized, regroup at a predetermined rally point.
Evacuation Route: Follow a pre-planned, secure route to the extraction point.
Extraction: Ensure all team members and any civilians in need are safely extracted.
7. Contingency Plans
If Under Fire: Establish defensive positions, return fire only if necessary, and call for reinforcements.
