The textures are missing due to hl2 20th anniversary update , cant do anything bout it

I can't, steam will not allow me to upload to the Gmod workshop no matter what I do. I tried uninstalling Gmod, I tried using a different software to upload a mod, I even completely reinstalled steam, but still didn't work.
