SHARED PLAYSETS

SHARED PLAYSETS

This isn't an usual 'guide', but an add-on for my before done Mod Load Order - A deception broken into pieces. guide.

I am often asked about how to sort certain mods into the named sections and then how to sort them inside those sections. The goal is to get solid and hardened setups. So these playsets show actual game setups like I like to play Stellaris in a more RPG-styled shape and do follow the mentioned MOD LOAD ORDER guide. In most cases they are bloated with a lot of small mods intended for singleplayer in a very long game pace, but probably I will also share multiplayer-setups for the next rounds.

I hope that readers of my before offered guide could easily understand the MOD LOAD ORDER by simply load one of my playsets.
Probably you enjoy the setups and spend some quality time with them or you will be able to build your very own special playset and possibly share it with other players.

Have fun playing the offered playsets, create your own special setups and share!

SYNTAX
How you should offer your playset.

It would be very helpfull if others might use the following syntax to offer their own playset.
At least provide information about Stellaris game version, so players do not waste time on outdated setups.

VERSION - Exact number of the Stellaris patch version this setup is marked for - example 3.12. NAME - Name of the playset PLAYER - Singleplayer or Multiplayer setup LINK - External link to the name_of_playset.json file NUMBER - Provide a number about how many mods are included DESCRIPTION - Describe the intention or the goal for your special game setup COMMENTS - Give some explanation for special parts of the playsets, like reason for switched-off mods and other curiousities.

short version for copy/paste VERSION NAME PLAYER LINK NUMBER DESCRIPTION COMMENTS
HOW-TO
With the new version of the Stellaris launcher, one could share their playsets with other players. Just for the fun but also for multiplayer setups that need all those mods sorted in a particular order.

Export playset

- open Stellaris launcher
- open playset
- click on the 'three dots' beside your playset name
- chose Share and download the file to your drive
- upload this name_of_playset.json file at a file hoster on the internet or send the file directly
- copy the link and send it to other players

Share playsets

- send the above mentioned link to your friends
- or post the link here in the comments following the syntax

Import playset

- download the name_of_playset.json file given by mail, link, other source to your drive
- open Stellaris launcher
- in the middle of the launcher, click on the arrows right to the playset section
- at the pop-up choose Import playset
( hint: I needed to have an empty playset chosen before I start importing )
- after importing is done, chose the fresh imported playset
- download possibly missing mods if system doesn't automatically
- activate and play the new playset

Have fun!

VERSION - 3.12.X

NAME - MAPTESTING.json

PLAYER - Singleplayer

LINK - https://mega.nz/file/plAFjIJQ#hcUyeeJ5v62rIgvDgeH3ZkMgenAmNPDt6Fr8x2t9t_0

NUMBER - ~149

DESCRIPTION - A very very long paced game setup. The early years are quite interesting and I always felt you simply rush through that exploration period so I included mods that create a smooth and more natural game experience. Ships and stations are worth way more than in native game setup. Can't say if they will stand the test in late-game, so keep an eye on your game level setup decissions, otherwise you might have a very interesting time.

COMMENTS - There are some yellow marked mods included, but they are tested or switched off and need update first.
