Get Your Suit On!

Description
Extra Vehicular Awkwardness
Inspired by the 'suitless' playstyle, as seen on TV Splitsie's AAW playthrough, but with a twist!
This mod is designed with the hopes of organically encouraging behaviour that fits the sci-fi trope or even real world procedure for EVA tasks. Put on a suit with oxygen and some slight propulsion > cycle the airlock > get the job done > come back (cycle airlock) > get back out of that clunky 120lb+[en.wikipedia.org] sauna and back into your civvies!

What does the mod do
First it ensures that nothing unexpected is available in the medical room suit options, it limits it to the default male/female engineer suits, and the 'suitless' outifts made by the wonderful Chipstix213 (listed in the mod dependencies).

Next, the mod adjusts (largely via ModAdjuster) the default suit's abilities. The intention is that the default suit - with jetpack and internal oxygen supply - is tuned down to be slower, 'heavier' feeling, and is generally not preferable unless strictly necessary. The 'suitless' outfits are unchanged, thus hopefully incentivizing using that outfit when possible.

Changes to default engineer suit:
• All movement speed is reduced significantly
• The character 'walks' by default
• Oxygen is consumed faster
• The character jump force is reduced (I have edited this, but it does not seem to change jump height, it may only reduce the upward force applied if you bonk your head on the ceiling)
• Jetpack thrust accelerates much slower (far too slow to work in planetary gravity)
• Suit jetpack dampeners are disabled with "No Jetpack Dampeners" by Meridias, listed as a dependency

Walking about your ship and an ambush blows a hole in the hull?
Don't just asphyxiate, Get Your Suit On!

Can't repair that gyro because it's on a nacelle out in the vacuum?
Don't try to maneuver without rotational force, Get Your Suit On!

The gravity generator shut off and you accidentally pressed 'jump'?
Don't just float there, Get Your... what? You can't reach a Medical Room from where you are to change your suit? Well, try blowing air out really hard I guess, I'm sure you'll be fine.

Disclaimers:
This mod took very little effort, much respect to those involved in the dependencies, Chipstix213, AshLikeSnow, and Meridius_IX / Lucas, who have done much more than me here.

I'm open to suggestions for other changes that might add to the intended experience of this mod.

Nice mod.
But I was looking for a wardrobe block that toggle the suit from space suit to no suit, did not find.

@Revale08 I believe there are a few keen-bugs around the respawning and modded suit choices so it's unlikely to be perfect no matter what we do, but I'll look into it and see if there are any ways to get something like that set up.

Hey Souls, really like what your aiming for here, considering using it on a dedicated server. Any way to have new players spawn default spawn in the 'no suit' suit opposed to the default one? Trying to make the astronaut suit a progression item.

Okay, that mod won't work, just had a look at it and it overwrites the default player model. It doesn't add any new suits in reality :(

Would it be okay if I patch in the suit I sent the link of and then send you the updated xml patch to integrate into your mod?

A suggestion, but could you maybe add a patch for this suit to contain more oxygen but have the same changes to speed etc. in this mod?

Maybe even some of these other suits could be patched in. Anyway, just a suggestion! :)

Nice! I personally like the way it makes me approach designs differently, makes ladders actually important, stuff like that :)

Honestly, I'm getting used to this configuration, and I'm actually liking it. The realistic inventory setting also really helps add to the immersion
