Onus III-class freighter

The Onus III-class (meaning Cargo in Latin) is the third iteration of light freighter produced for the Roman Empire, with several major leaps for the line to keep it relevant and desirable to shipping companies. Compared to the previous model, the Onus III features more engines and more powerful side thrusters to make manoeuvring easier, whilst more cargo space allows for even more goods to be shipped. Newly added for the third design is a pair of hyperdrives, front and rear, that allows for cross system travel, ensuring that goods can be transported faster both across the local system as well as to nearby ones too. With only a little increase in cost, the Onus III loses very little and gains a lot more.

The Onus III-class is a big upgrade to the line, with less than 1 m/s of speed lost for the greatly increased travel amount and an increase in storage space. The lack of weapons is characteristic of the line, due to the speed allowing it to evade any pirates or hostiles that try to intercept it.
