WABSIM 1.0 & ESS 2.1 Compatible

Startup Sequence
Single Locomotives/Front Locomotive
Engine/Systems Startup
Turn on all the necessary relays (see Switch Descriptions). Normally this would be Main Power, Systems Power, Engine Power, Drivetrain Power, Coupler Power, Brake Valves, Horn Valves (if inf electric is off), and Compressor Valves. Next, turn on Start Engine, Traction-Low Voltage Interconnect, and Set Locomotive To Lead.
Headlight Setup
If you only have one locomotive, switch the headlight selector to Single Locomotive/Intermediate Locomotive/Distributed Power Unit. If you have multiple, set the headlights to Controlling Headlights or Controlling Headlights (Locomotive Reversed) depending on your locomotive direction.
Distributed Power Unit Control Setup
If you have any Distributed Power Units (locomotives that are not connected to the front chain of locos), turn on Control Distributed Power Units and set a frequency in Distributed Power Unit Frequency on the panel on the wall in front of the jumpseat.

Intermediate/Trailing Locomotives
Engine/Systems Startup
Turn on all the necessary relays (see Switch Descriptions). Normally this would be Main Power, Systems Power, Engine Power, Drivetrain Power, and Coupler Power. Next, turn on Start Engine, and Traction-Low Voltage Interconnect. Leave Set Locomotive To Lead off.
Headlight Setup
If this locomotive is intermediate (in the middle of the chain), set the headlights to Single Locomotive/Intermediate Locomotive/Distributed Power Unit. If the locomotive is trailing (at the end of the chain), set the headlights to Headlights Controlled.

Distributed Power Units
Engine/Systems Startup
Turn on all the necessary relays (see Switch Descriptions). Normally this would be Main Power, Systems Power, Engine Power, Drivetrain Power, and Coupler Power. Next, turn on Start Engine, and Traction-Low Voltage Interconnect. Leave Set Locomotive To Lead off. Go to the DPU panel and turn on Set Locomotive To Distributed Power Unit Mode. If the locomotive is facing backwards, turn on Flip Locomotive Direction. Then enter the frequency you set in Distributed Power Unit Control Setup into Distributed Power Unit Frequency
Headlight Setup
Set the headlights to Single Locomotive/Intermediate Locomotive/Distributed Power Unit.

Driving
Read the proper section(s) in Startup Sequence first.
Handbrake Control/Lighting
Next, make sure the locomotive handbrake is turned off on all locomotives. On this locomotive it can be found outside on the left side of the hood above the ladder. Next, in the front locomotive, sit down in the Locomotive Operator seat behind the control stand. You can turn on Instrument Backlights and/or Control Stand Light if you wish. To turn on the light, turn on Cab Light on the startup panel behind the jumpseat.
Brake Operation
To operate the brakes, you can either use the Independent Brakes or Automatic Brakes. Automatic brakes brake for the entire train, independent brakes brake for just the locomotive. If you wish to brake for the whole train except for the locomotive you can pull down all the way on the Independent Brakes to 'bail off'. If you bring the Automatic Brakes to 1.2 the train will enter emergency braking and will not go out of emergency braking until you bring the Automatic Brakes to 0. If you have an EOTD attached you can also turn on EOTD Emergency Brake to apply the brakes even faster. You can use the up/down arrows to control the Automatic Brakes, and if you bring the Automatic Brakes all the way to 1.1 you can release and re-press the up arrow to enter emergency braking.
Throttle Operation
To operate the throttle, either pull down on the Throttle lever or tap the w/s hotkeys to bring the throttle up/down in 10% increments.
Switching Signals
Simply press the Switch Track button on the control stand to switch any signal on frequency 440 (default frequency).

Switch Descriptions
Relays
Main Power - Turn this off to isolate the systems battery and prevent any drain. It should be on by default
Systems Power - Allows power to the control systems (instrument panels, the control stand, etc)
Engine Power - Allows power to the engine systems (engine pumps, valves, etc)
Drivetrain Power - Allows power to flow from the traction generator to the traction motors
Coupler Power - Allows power to flow from the bottom couplers to the systems relay and from the top couplers to the traction relay
Backup Power - Allows power to flow from the backup battery to the systems relay
Main Power Override - Overrides the Main Power relay, preventing lockout. All Main Power Override switches are outside of the cab, however there is an indicator on the relay panel that turns on when the override is active
Valves
Brake Valves - Cuts in the air brakes. Note that the independent brake lever works as a mechanical handbrake when this is off
Horn Valves - Cuts in the horn. Note that the horn does need roughly 30 seconds to spool up after you turn it on. Also note that the horn does not work with infinite electricity
Compressor Valves - Turns on & cuts in the air brake compressor. This is required for the brakes to work
Keys
Start Engine - Turns on the main engine and automatically ignites the firebox
Traction-Low Voltage Interconnect - Allows the HV/LV interconnect to automatically enable to charge the low voltage battery
Set Locomotive To Lead - Turn this on to allow you to control the train from this locomotive. Note that you cannot control the locomotive except for independent brakes without turning this on, and if you turn on this key in multiple connected locomotives it will not work

what about the rest of the chicken

@XNSGamer yeah as you may have seen I made this quite a while ago and the concept is incredibly flawed in my opinion, which is why I haven't given it any major updates. I may release the tender at some point, probably not though

@RedRobot It's a combination of an HDRi for the sky and some imported map tiles using an importer tool. I didn't actually import the tiles myself, thank Klara for that

Where do you find your Stormworks backgrounds for your rendered images?
