My version of the German asymmetrical Blohm & Voss BV 141B-2 reconnaissance aircraft. It is of course very much an approximation and not a 1:1 replica.

The plane has a crew of 3: pilot, radio operator/rear top gunner, and observer/rear bottom gunner.
It is armed with two forward fixed 7.92 mm machine guns and two rear-mounted flexible 7.92 mm machine guns, as well as 4 x 50 kg bombs.

******

The Blohm & Voss BV 141 was a World War II German tactical reconnaissance aircraft, notable for its uncommon structural asymmetry. Although the BV 141 performed well, it was never ordered into full-scale production, for reasons that included the unavailability of the preferred engine and competition from another tactical reconnaissance aircraft, the Focke-Wulf Fw 189. As a result, only about 28 were ever built.

The Plexiglas-glazed crew gondola on the starboard side strongly resembled that found on the Fw 189, and housed the pilot, observer and rear gunner, while the fuselage on the port side led smoothly from the BMW 132N radial engine to a tail unit.

At first glance, the placement of weight would have induced tendency to roll, but the weight was evenly supported by lift from the wings.

******

Because of it's unusual design the plane has been tricky to balance for both pitch and roll at various speeds but after a lot of trial and error and adjustments it actually flies pretty well all things considered (in single player at 144 fps at least), but a bit more input from the pilot than usual is often needed.
Taking off is another matter in a game where even symmetrical planes with a front main gear and rear wheel landing gear setup tend to veer off pretty badly on the ground, so I've had to add some thrusters that help keep the plane straight-ish when up on the front wheels.

CONTROLS
Pilot's seat
Alt controls to fly.
W/S: Variable throttle.
S: Ground brakes (be gentle!).
A/D: Ground steering / Yaw.
Up/Down arrows / Mouse: Pitch.
Left/Right arrows / Mouse: Roll.
X / Disable steering: Landing gear.
B / Beacon: Take-off assist boosters. *
Fire action 1 / Num 1: Fire machine guns.
Fire action 2-5 / Num 2-5: Bombs
Camera 1: "Bomb sight."

Both rear gunners' seats
Alt + Arrow keys / Mouse: Control machine gun
Fire action 1 / Num 1: Fire machine gun
Camera 1: Sight.

* Take off
- Start to take off as normal.
- When you reach 40-50 kph press B to start the stabilising boosters. They should help you keep a somewhat straight line but be ready to parry with rudder once the rear wheel lifts off the ground.
- Turn off boosters once you are airborne.
- If the plane still veers off too much try to give full pitch up during the whole take-off to keep the rear wheel on the ground. This usually helps.

It's a weird choice to design a plane like that for sure. :)
