Blue moon capitol

The blue moon of planet Ter'akwa has long stood as a place for the congregation of ideas and forms as a way to further develop all beings mutually.
The capitol of this moon has always been heavily defended, knowledge can only be responsibly used with the backing of a sword, as the Flying Polyps currently curating the reception islands have always believed.

The Flying Polyps are fully aquatic and the small number of islands on the moon mostly serve diplomatic and multicultural purposes.
The capitol contains islands with a previously prestigious university, town center, otherwordly habitats and even a stage for air-based artists.
Before the Eagles and Ravens of mythological Earth started their interstellar expansion these islands were a center for learning and sharing ideas in the Milky Way.

At some point a rivalry between the Yithians of the red moon of Ter'akwa and the Flying Polyps of the blue moon of Ter'akwa broke out.
Both civilizations, having knowledge and technology far beyond that of humans, engaged in a war spanning multiple centuries.
Eventually their fighting ceased, and turned into what seemed to be a rivalry of knowledge and observation.
When the Yithians disappeared, the Flying Polyps followed, but left their world protected... for a time...

When the interstellar empires known as the Ravens and the Eagles attacked the red moon of Ter'akwa they uncovered the secrets of the Yithians previously living there.
Granting them both, for the first time, faster than light travel (by a factor of eight).
Shortly after the human battle on the red moon of planet Ter'akwa the Flying Polyps of the blue moon of Ter'akwa used their technology, for an eagle or raven it was like magic.
The entire moon disappeared with a flash as bright as a supernova, almost in an instant. Satellites still confirmed its gravitational pull but the moon was completely intangible and invisible.

A hundred earth years passed and the Eagles and Ravens captured and claimed even more planets for their zealous empires.
At this point neither eagle nor raven was what it once was. Both has been devoured by the ambition of individuals, resembling crooked effigies of their prior, somewhat respectable orders.
Earth has been gone so long it has fallen into myth. Humanity has taken over much of the Milky Way in its most despicable, or perhaps its most human, way.
Through perseverance, rage, loyalty, greed, happiness and disparity humanity has staked its claim on the Milky Way.
The only prize missing is the Blue moon of Ter'akwa, after years of searching neither eagle nor raven have found a way to access its secrets, the last secrets left unclaimed in the Ter'akwa system.
Secrets that both ravens and eagles expect will change the tide of battle. After more than a thousand years of fighting, perhaps the eagles or ravens will finally find a way to destroy the other and take complete control of humanity and the Milky Way.

The blue moon of Ter'akwa, after one hundred earth years, has lost its cloak of intangibility.
Both ravens and eagles are ready to seize this opportunity, for a hundred years they have both waited, bolstering their forces in the Ter'akwa planetary system... Waiting for this day...

Why did it appear now? The Flying Polyps are nowhere to be seen. Is it a trap for the humans or have the beings simply lost the ability to keep up the illusion?
Trap or no.
The humans won't wait.

As taught by the old birds of earth;
Death is the foundation, life is knowing what stone to lay down next.
All in service to the eternal ones with true freedom to soar.
Do not doubt the avian, for it will guide you through deathly fog and despair.
When all seem to be lost, look to the sky.
The bird will appear above thee and shine its light of holy fire upon thine squad.
Accept thine place in the foundation, if you did well, the next ones will reach higher still.
