Worcester Union Station
Union Station is a railway station located at Washington Square in downtown Worcester, Massachusetts. It is the western terminus of the MBTA Commuter Rail Framingham/Worcester Line and a stop for the Amtrak Lake Shore Limited service.

Worcester became a rail hub in the mid-19th century, with seven railroads serving the city. Although primarily served by local trains, Worcester was also a stop for intercity services. On the B&A, these included the New England States and the Boston section of the Wolverine. Joint New Haven–B&M service between New York City and Maine passed between the two railroads at Worcester.

Replacing the 1875 original, construction of a new Union Station on the southwest side of Washington Square began in 1909 as part of a grade separation project. The new station opened on the 4th of June, 1911. It was designed by Watson & Huckel in a French Renaissance Revival style. Two 53m tall towers of white marble flanked the main entrance and the main waiting room featured an elliptical arched roof with stained glass. The towers were removed in 1926 due to structural issues.

The abandoned Union Station was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 and was acquired by the Worcester Redevelopment Authority in 1994 for a complete renovation at a cost of $32 million. The station was restored and renovated by Finegold Alexander & Associates. The Grand Hall (the original waiting room), had its elliptical stained-glass ceilings, interior marble columns, and mahogany wood trim restored. Fibreglass towers were constructed to replace those removed in 1926.

Lighting
This asset exclusively uses Armesto's Spotlight Props Pack for its lighting. If you don't subscribe to it everything will be dark.

All sub-buildings use the same textures so if you use the Loading Screen mod the textures will be shared by all the elements and this will reduce any load on your machine.

I've tried to make this asset as realistic as possible and therefore the geometry tri count is high and the textures large. All of the texture elements have been created specifically for this asset in order for full control over the final look.

Please try this asset out and if there are any problems let me know in the comments below.

Amazing asset! It worked perfectly in my European downtown and I love the way the train cuts through the grid at a 45 degree angle. This asset will give your city that dynamic feel of an old town rather than a bland pre-planned suburb! It really looks like the train station was built to satisfy both the pre-existing rail infrastructure and the grid in line with the coastline. One small nit-pick, the raised platform isn't long enough along the track so the people waiting for the train hover over part of the platform that doesn't exist. Anyways I love the detail work, the ornate skylight, windows, and spires, keep up the good work! :)

Wow, had no idea the amount of effort that went into saving this building! Incredible labor of love, reflected in this model. Worcester has a really nice city hall too...adding it to my future list for ya maybe ;)
