Safe UI mods

Description

The mod adds background images and extra UI to all stations in the game

******Every feature can be turned off in the settings******

- 180 backgrounds (10 for each unique station window + 40 mutual)
- Use Spacebar to turn on/off the background
- The settings menu that can be found at the bottom of the dialogue options
- VI assistant, which comments your interaction with stations
- Ambient sounds
- Music for Crew Hire window
- NPC portraits
- Short NPC lines
- Docking status, free cargo space and money counters
- Your captain portrait (if you have the Real Captains mod)

Every image is generated via Flux Schnell AI model on my PC

In the future the mod will support external packs with backgrounds, animations and sound.
If you are planning to release a compatible mod, please contact me.

- Increased backgrounds number for each station
- Possibly there will be unique backgrounds for other stations (biotope, casino, factories)
- Possibly there will be dialogues, If the implementation will be worth it
- Animations, if It will be safe for FPS / load times

- the mod can be installed / uninstalled safely mid-playthrough.

- incompatible with mods that completely rewrite "initUI", compatible with others

Fixed bug with empty settings window. Way to reproduce: resolution higher than 1920x1080 or UI scale lesser than 100%. Now everything works as intended

I was thinking of creating some more Captain Portraits for my own personal use. Ill forward them when I am done if you wanna add them too!

I also work on getting you the log files.

I cant fix this without your client.log or console screenshots. There is a workaround though.
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Avorion\moddata\Real Stations
My mod should create this folder and 3 files in there:
1) defaultConfig.lua
2) userConfig.lua
3) version.lua
Can you check if they are there? If they are, simply change "musicVolume 100" to other value in the userConfig.lua

So base on what you asked me to do and reading what you told Giondal the Cyberdwarf, I couldnt get UI for options to show with running only your Mod. I attempted to change lua file but seems it was not being created. I went to the location of where steam download the mod and I delete the sound files that where causing the issue and that seemed to work.

I like the sound effect and music though just so loud compared to everything else and without being able to turn it down I had to remove them completely.

I cant replicate this bug. What other mods do you have? Was my mod added from start or mid - playthrough? Can you open mod settings and send me clientlog.txt AFTER you've done that?
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Avorion\clientlog 2025-2-16 19-33-20.txt (use the latest one)

Love the mod!

Is there a way to turn the volume of the music down when at stations. It very loud but I like it.
