Sorry, no additional functionality unless I am so inclined.
There was an update to Besiege just a few days ago and I can confirm that the mod is still working properly.
It works in campaign mode to a limited extent, we do not support it.

some friends of mine also discovered that in the level editor you can use the water zone to adjust the waves so there's that too
Between you and me, the function of this mod is also possible in ObjectExplorer, with which you can change the height of the waves.
In the future, I would like to rework it as a mod that can change various ocean options, but I don't think I will be able to develop it for a while.
I think though it'd be nice if there was an in-between the vanilla and this as well (more options)
