-A class that focuses on bleeding, stunning, enemy positioning, and risk assessment.

Story:

They have lurked beneath awareness, keen to stay hidden. Oft they have taken the guise of others, posing as the wolf or serpent, while under the husk writhes their otherworldly form.

It was drawn into the city one day. Dusk had died, and fog choked the new night; as the carriages went to and fro, it stepped betwixt them, dodging each lantern's glow. It found her, outside the theater, starving, yet feasting on the echoes.

She called it demon, as many had before, and it offered her its usual deal: a glimpse. Strength, knowledge, and courage she had craved; yet, a discarded child, a gutter wench had no chance at such things. It was a lie. It saw her potential; it promised her change; it required her to only stand still and look.

She stood, stared, and, as the wolfskin fell, words and thought abandoned her. Its form lacks all reference; its visage known only by the soul rending dread it evoked. The deal was struck, power loaned, and soon the price would be known.

Miniboss:

The Reclaimer represents the dark power the Pact Maker made her pact with. It chases her, hoping to take back what it loaned her. The Reclaimer prefers to mark its targets in its blood; and, unless the bleed is cured, it will be guaranteed to crit with its signature move, Reap.

Summoning the Reclaimer is done through the Alter Pact skill. The chance to summon the Reclaimer increases with each rank, starting with 5% at Rank 1 and ending with 10% at Rank 5. As the Reclaimer is summoned mid-fight, at least one empty spot on the enenmy team is required.

Defeating the Reclaimer will reward the party with 1 of 4 Demon Threads, with a small chance of also getting 1 of 2 Demon Tapestries. Demon Threads are consumable items that grant a quirk to the user. Demon Tapestries are powerful trinkets with give and take.

Threads are akin to the deal the Pact Maker made; thus, each Thread has positives and negatives. Without being too specific, the quirks do the following:
Thread of Sagacity: CRITs
Thread of Haima: Bleed Builds
Thread of Thew: Melee Builds
Thread of Chillingworth: Tank/Mark Synergy

Disease:

Whoever lands the killing blow on the Reclaimer will contract Shadow Dregs. This disease has 3 stages: Incubation, Shadow Dregs; Stage 1, Reclaimer's Whisper; Stage 2, Reclaimer's Gift; and, Stage 3, Reclaimer's Promise. The effects of the disease do not start to show until Stage 1, so you most likely won't suffer its downsides on the mission you contract it.

Starting at Stage 1, Reclaimer's Whisper, those with the disease have a 10% chance, on turn start, to summon the Reclaimer. This chance maxes out at 20% with Stage 3.

NOTE: The number of times this "summon" action can occur is limited per dungeon run. In other words, no infinite summon loops.

The disease also has several strong positives, but I'll let that be a surprise.

I think the low damage is due to the fact that the miniboss only has one person, and the game's deathdoor ensures that a single critical strike does not result in death

So I can gradually reduce the stress on my teammates when there is only this miniboss left, because he poses no threat to my team, just simply increasing my game time

So I hope that when there is only this miniboss left, he will leave to avoid some unexpected situations that the designer did not anticipate

@1023051439 , This is good feedback, thank you. I wanted the disease to essentially be an avenue for players to farm the miniboss. I could lower this to a 10% chance and 1 time a run. That would still probably guarantee the miniboss once a run. I'll have to test it when I get the time.

As for the suicide suggestion, interesting. Essentially make the boss a drive-by sort of encounter. I might use this idea elsewhere; however, here it wouldn't make sense for the story. The boss is there not to terrorize, but to reclaim the power they gave you.

I'm surprised you say the Reclaimer's damage is low. With the Crits it constantly gets, I always found the damage to be quite staggering.

Suggest having miniboss commit suicide after using their skills, as this can increase the difficulty of battles without prolonging

The summoning frequency of miniboss is too high. I have an average of 5 rounds of battles, with an average of one miniboss per battle.

Miniboss has too much health, especially with other mods or difficulty bonuses, it can become very high.

The damage of miniboss is too low, I even think he's just healing me by prolonging my battles

@King DaMuncha, I went ahead and double checked. Everything is working correctly. The skins I added are there. Once you get into combat the character will change into their battle armor. That's when you see the blue / demon suit.
King DaMuncha 20 Jul, 2024 @ 1:51am
He has already made that replacement mod for the Leper, but it only shows the black jump suit skin and not the demonic skin. Your mod also only shows the black jumpsuit.
ManOfGod413  [author] 20 Jul, 2024 @ 1:48am
@King DaMuncha, It is skin #6. Once you get into combat she will transition to her battle armor.

Also, Leper? Are you trying to use this as a skin for him? It shouldn't be too hard to port it over to the Leper; but, you won't be able to use any of his other skins.
King DaMuncha 20 Jul, 2024 @ 12:44am
But how do you use it? I only see the jumpsuit with jacket skin for the Leper?
ManOfGod413  [author] 19 Jul, 2024 @ 4:00am
@King DaMuncha
I just added the demon skin as a usable skin. I had to edit a few things. I hope you like it.

Thank you for playing the mod and caring enough to comment.

How do you use the demonic looking skin?
