Nine

Description
Unparalleled Master of Magic

Nine the Phantom is a long range setplay character with a diverse array of spells and unique movement options that allow for unique offensive and defensive capabilities.



She doesn't have a run. Instead she has a teleport she can use by rolling (while grounded) or air dashing.

You can hold a direction after the first teleport by holding a direction.


Nine can cancel her jabs and tilts into each other up to twice in a string. She can cancel into specials from jabs, tilts and aerials as well.



On hit or block, Nine gains Elemental Mana corresponding to the element of the attack that was used.
  • attack -> water [W]
  • special -> fire [F]
  • strong -> air [A]
She can then use the mana to cast spells using shield 2.
On that note:
Shield 2 is Nine's main special button.
Please make sure you have shield 2 mapped. This character cannot play the game without it.


Specials
These are spells Nine can use at all times (using shield 2 as the main special button).

Neutral Special - Spell
Casts a spell from her active slot.

Side Special - Crimson Raider

An advancing attack for starting or ending combos.

Up Special - Mauvette Roar

Anti-air special that is also jump cancelable.

Down Special - Seamoss Gate

Swaps the mana in Nine's active and stock slot.

Down-Forward Special - Navy Pressure

A tracking spike attack with a minimum distance.




Spells

Schorl [null]

A spell that requires no mana. Can cancel into other specials.

Water Series [WxN]

The water series of spells uses only water mana and freezes opponents. The freeze time stacks when more water mana is used.

Fire Series [FxN]

The fire series of spells uses only fire mana and launches opponents. The damage, size, and knockback stacks when more fire mana is used.

Air Series [AxN]

The wind series of spells uses only wind mana and blows opponents away. The damage and knockback stacks when more wind mana is used.

Amethyst [WF]

A slow moving ball of electricity.

Citrine [AF]

A mirror that pushes opponents away.

It also shoots projectiles of its own when a projectile hits it.

Heliodor [WA]

Creates a projectile that floats in front of Nine for a short while. It disappears if Nine gets hit.

Taaffeite [WWF]

Summons a fairy that attacks 3 times. You can shield it as long as you are facing in Nine's direction. Goes away if Nine gets hit.

Kunzite [FFW]

Conjures a rock above the opponent. It also spikes.

Andradite [WAA]

Shoots an orb that explodes into a large cross. You can adjust its positioning by holding down the button. The orb disappears if it is hit before it goes off.

Celestite [WWA]

Creates a gravity field that pulls any airborne opponents inside the field straight down, but is otherwise harmless.

Uvarovite [FAA]

Spawns a cloud that tracks an opponent, and rains down meteors after a while.

Morganite [FFA]

Throws a seed to the ground that grows into a travelling vine after it lands.

Nephrite [WAF]

Creates a clock on surviving opponents. Will kill them after 10 seconds if they are not shielding, dead, or otherwise invulnerable. Goes away if Nine gets hit (good luck).

forward and back throws should be fixed now, and hopefully people on controller and autorun users can control the character now.

Bug problem found, foward/back throw does not connect after first hit.
