Description
Anti Air Variant Here!

The T-12C "Basilic" is the first Main Battle Tank (MBT) produced by Ikuyo Aerospace Industries. Following feedback received on the field deployments of the LT-120, the Next-Generation Armored Warrior (NGAW) program was started with the aim of creating a highly durable, survivable, and independently operable combat vehicle. Featuring the LT-120's single 120mm Smoothbore cannon with an effective firing range of 1.4km, the Basilic also incoporates a coaxial 25mm machine gun and 40mm anti-aircraft turret capable of providing an effective fighter screen for the vehicle. The T-12C is now entering mass production and has been approved for civilian and private sale - get yours today!

Armament
  • 1x 120mm Smoothbore Gun: 1.4km maximum firing range.
  • 1x 25mm Coaxial Rotary Gatling Gun: 800m maximum firing range.
  • 2x 40mm Anti-Air Autocannons: 800m maximum firing range.

Features
  • All Environments: Capable of operating virtually anywhere owing to tracked drive system, the T-12C is rated for a 45 degree hill climb in 1G, and can go up to 75 degrees with thruster augmentation.
  • Cheap and Easily Maintainable: The T-12C uses simple, early-game components to fabricate and even it's relatively expensive composite armor does not need to be fully completed to be effective. Comes with two seperate repair projectors for the turret and the hull.
  • Battery Powered: Most armored vehicles utilize nuclear power - the T-12C, like most Ikuyo Aerospace vehicles instead utilizes highly redundant and extremely cheap battery power - capable of over 21 hours of driving and utilizing connectors to recharge from any compatible dock.
  • Highly Armed and Armored: The T-12C is made entirely of rolled homogenous armor and will readily absorb autocannon, gatling and rocket fire from most angles. The front is especially well armored with composites and is typically capable of surviving 2-3 assault cannon shots or a single railgun shot with minimal damage.
  • Survival Ready: Fully plumbed and survival ready. Multiple sub grids are present, but all are fairly simple to build (although you really should just use the sub grid projector mod).

Datasheet
  • PCU: 4755
  • Block Count: 735
  • Non-Armor Blocks: 335
  • Triangles: 312,456
  • Grid Mass: 87,342kg
  • Lifting Capacity: 100+ rounds of Assault Cannon Ammo. 1000+ rounds of Autocannon Ammo.

Scripts
Whiplash141's TCES (Turret Controller Enhancement Script) is included by default to automatically stabilize the gun while driving and makes a huge difference in taking moving shots. Whip's Skid Steering is used for driving the road wheels and the tank will not function properly without it. Additionally Automatic LCDs II and SIMPL are used for ship displays.

DLCs and Redistribution
This ship is vanilla and only uses a number of DLCs for cosmetics.

Special Credits and Notes
The T-12C is my first serious attempt at a main-battle tank and i'm fairly happy with how it turned out. It's definitely a bit on the heavy side but well armored and puts up a serious fight against most threats. While the LT-120 excelled against armored threats, it was incredibly vulnerable to drones and fighters owing to poor cannon elevation, so I created this to help defend against fighters too. I attempted to make this as easy to build in survival as possible, and with my ship printer setup I can churn out one of these in about 2 minutes including assembling the subgrids.
Final Note, the turret is incapable of turning 360 degrees owing to the small half block hump on the rear of the tank. This can easily be removed and adds virtually no armor but i thought it looked cool and the tank actually rotates faster than the turret turns anyways.

Tank Track Pack: Morue was used for screenshots but is not necessary for vehicle function!
This build was heavily inspired by the Magnetar Industries Taipan MBT - check it out here!

Suggestions
I'm always open to suggestions or ideas so please let me know if you have any! This is the MBT I promised when I released the LT-120, but I plan on converting the basic chassis into an anti-air platform as well as potentially releasing a railgun variant.

Thanks a ton mate! I've found myself definitely drawn back into SE again lately with the new update dropping and I'm hoping we'll see a lot more cool mods in the next few months. Also looking forward to checking out your tank!

Absolutely beautiful! Also, thank you for introducing me to the tank track mod! I have been away from SE for a bit and man that is a fantastic mod to get my hands on! Might actually release my own "vintage" tank now that it has treads! Honestly had to sub to your whole list, they are all exceptional! well done!

Thanks for the response. I've heard of and seen the conveyor/gatling design before, I'll probably try that for the turret and gun. Using a connector for the hull seems like a good way, but perhaps the conveyor/gatling method may work as well.

Simplest way to print individual vehicles is just attaching a few blocks to an area and griding them off when printing is done. For fully automated production stuff like on my hellpod I use a connector and merge block but I've also seen people use gatling guns to sever connector blocks between grids.

I've been meaning to ask after I read more of the description, how do you print these out. Do you use the connector to attach it to the projector's grid or do you use some other method. I'm planning on building factories for my vehicles sometime and would like to know how to properly handle attaching and detaching the printed vehicle.

Thanks! I definitely plan to make one soon but haven't had an idea i've really liked for the design yet. I'm gonna aim in the future to make some true mutli-role vehicles (sort of like the Palomo transport truck) and the common IFV/APC chassis is gonna be one of them.

I like your vehicle designs, do you have any plans for an IFV/APC chassis in the future?
