Description
Made for the 2024 Summer themed mod jam!

On an isolated beach, some Mafia goons are minding their own business and having fun. Suddenly, Hat Kid arrives! She doesn't want any trouble though. The timepiece she's looking for is sitting in the Mafia's ice chest so it should be easy to grab. Until it sinks in deeper! Hat Kid dives after the timepiece, and finds that this is no ordinary ice chest. She needs to use the cold beverages to her advantage to get her timepiece back!

Only the Hookshot Badge is required to play.

The level design accomodates for all FPS amounts!

Co-Op not advised but allowed.

*For GfB, here's some bonus ideas for the summer event:
- collect the timepiece
- knock over every small drink (19 in total)
- don't bounce off the same cat vacuum more than once
- reach the blender (checkpoint 6) within 1:10

it does to the best of my ability. You will still bounce on the slopes but there are ice diveboards to catch you. This can't be fixed on my end, it is an issue part of the base game.

could you find a way to make ice hat slides less janky for those who still have low frames? or make an config option to reduce the models (even the ones from background)? the jank for steep slopes is still there on my end, even though i turned the maximum frame rate up and set the graphics to low (since the level is also part of the summer event death wish).

Momentum is hard to get used to when you haven't played many levels that use it, I acknowledge that this is probably not the best level to play if you're new to it. As for the cannons I never thought needing to hold forward after launching would be an issue, it may be a cannon but it's something you have full control over after exiting which is unlike the game's normal cannons. I can try to explain things better in-level if I feel like working on it again.

I beat it, but it wasn't fun, the new mechanics are very janky. Had to read the comments here for the "hold forward" thing. It's a cannon, why is your momentum affected by additional button presses mid-flight? Also, the timing on the jar lids/corks is very strict.

I also struggled with the cannon in balloon jump for a long time. The main thing to make sure is to hold the left stick (or W) forward for the entire flight, to get extra forward speed.

nevermind it's doable but the jumping in mid-air is very strict, maybe moving the cannon a little forward or making it aim a little further would help that specific jump

i don't know if it's me but i think there's a cannon into baloon jump that needs to be adjusted, i just don't get the distance required to reach the balloon, it's the one with a moving wall in front after the 2 small rooms
