IT'S TIME TO ADMIT THAT REALISM IN GARRY'S MOD IS A LOAD OF CRAP THAT DOESN'T EXIST.











Yo, what's up. This is a mod for ultra-realistic blood. In the world of Garry's Mod, there are tons of so-called "realistic" blood add-ons that are just cinematically realistic and don't give players the REAL deal. But for this mod, we legit went down the rabbit hole into the dark web, watched snuff films, cartel executions, murders, and other gnarly vids. Based on our collective impressions, we mixed everything together and came up with this hardcore mod.
Heads up: This add-on can seriously tank your FPS if you're running high graphics settings or have ReShade installed. Adjust accordingly to keep your game smooth.
Big shoutout to my buddy "Spirit" for helping out and bringing all the blood effects into the game.

NOTE: The last version of the mod got banned 'cause of the brutal content in the screenshots, lol, so we had to re-release it with different screenshots and a new avatar. Enjoy this mod, everything’s done by pros.

WARNING: This mod ain't for the faint-hearted. If you're easily disturbed or squeamish, steer clear. The content here is extremely graphic and intense. Download at your own risk.

ohh i kinda see ur point, idk if its reasonable to judge gmod realism this heavily since it's only like 3 years old, and i dont think were at the point where something revolutionary comes aboard, mayb in like a few years it'll happen tho idk

i see ur point, but I think calling gmod “realistic” because of bodycams, color correction, or weather mods doesn’t hold up. realism isn’t just about visuals - it’s about how systems interact. games like Arma or Escape from Tarkov feel realistic because of detailed ballistics, AI, and environmental physics. gmod mods, while impressive, are limited by the Source engine and don’t create that same systemic depth. unrecord looks realistic because it’s purpose-built for that effect, with cohesive animation and perspective. gmod, by contrast, is a sandbox where mods are standalone tweaks that don’t seamlessly integrate. its great for creative freedom, but even with the best mods, it’s not a true simulator - just a sandbox with immersive visuals. Calling that "realism" is a bit of a stretch.

garry's mod is a sandbox, customizable to fit the player's wants. you are correct that everything is a visual enhancement but arguing that it isnt 'realism' is stupid, as true realism is impossible to recreate. also the point that visual enhancements dont make games realistic is also boggin because they do, because unrecord and bodycam look realistic, and they get carried by colour correction, lighting, and bloom, which are all visual enhancements.

its time to admit that realism in gmod is nothing more than a shallow attempt to layer aesthetic tweaks over a game engine that was never built for true simulation. The so-called 'realistic' mod packs - body cameras, weapon packs, enhanced ragdoll physics, and blood effects - are merely visual enhancements.
