MrMere's Warbirds

The greatest legends are the ones that may never be forgotten...

The peak of American fighter design, the P-51D Mustang took the under-powered frames of its ancestors and breathed into them the life of legacy. Unmistakable by the whistle of the Packard Merlin, its sleek airframe, and outstanding performance, the image of this aircraft had the capacity to physically present itself over 800 miles away with hundreds of photographs projecting it over oceans.

When the B-17s needed a faithful escort, the Mustang was the fighter they sent to Vanguard. When the age of propeller fighters seemed at threat by the ME 262, the Mustang was the fighter they sent to ensure dominance. When the war ended, the old horse kicked until its final rest in 1984. It flies--and will fly forever--for warbird fanatics.



Startup:
> Turn ON "ENGINE MASTER"
> HOLD "ENGINE MAGNETO"
> Turn ON "RELEASE WHEEL BRAKES"
> Throttle UP and pull UP

Weapons:
> Infinite ammo is required, but you have 1840 rounds in the simulated guns--just like the real thing.
> The bombs release as a pair and hit hard.

Rearming
> Connect hardpoints to reload bombs
> Reload key is on the front portion of the right wing.
> Refueling is on the rear portion of the left wing.

I did not realize that there are still countermeasures lol. Just fixed that. But according to my testing, dropping the bombs works just fine.

What is the key to release the bombs? I hit the Release Pylons and the Manual Countermeasures keys, but they don't seem to release them. Do you have to hold them or something?

Faster, looks better, and hits harder. Much more controllable.
