Elementaria (Karst Valleys) - Post-War Start

Description
Welcome to Elementaria in the central European Karst Valleys!

--- The map is based on the 30x30 map format by Lex with and was made with his permission. Some problems may occur due to the size ---

The map is based on a heightmap of a karst region, which leads to it having a very interesting landscape, composed of flat valleys between large, steep, rocky hills, which have almost inaccessible flat tops. Due to washing out the bedrock with carbonated water, the terrain is extremely bumpy and requires flattening everwhere.

The region is very sparcely populated, with the hilltops, which constitute most of the map, being uninhabited. Most of the population is centered around the valleys with the biggest town and capital - Stickstau upon the Chloren river. The city is also the industrial center, with the other parts of the republic barely having anything.

Stickstau's industry provides everything a basic population needs and is a major logistical center with 4 railway lines connecting here. The city is provided with two rail lines running parallel to eachother on both sides of the old town. The biggest industrial facility in the city is the long-abandoned cement plant in need of maintenance. The city also has a park and two suburban districts - Sauerstedt and Litherswalde.

From the main park, a light rail/tram system starts to Schwefelleben via Neondorf. It remains almost untouched by war damage and can be started up very quickly. It provides a fast alternative for the road transit to Schwefelleben.

One of the main rail routes from the capital is the Chloren valley railway, which connects to the Soviet border in Argonnig, passing Phosphorow on the way. There, the country's only chemical factory is located. Direct proximity to the border provides an easy way to export products or import required resources.

Palladäu, located to the North-West of the capital is home to a small coal mine, which was supposed to produce coal for the Ruthendorf power station, which sadly didn't finnish construction before the war.

I recommend you check out the rest of the country by yourself!
