Table Image Changer

Description
The problem
Ever wanted to use the custom table, but changing the image is a hassle? You flashbang everyone with a white table while you look for the image in your computer or in the cloud manager, and all of your hand zones get reset?

What is this?
This book can be used to save image links and then apply them as the custom table or custom board image. Browse your saved images like a picture album, with chapters and bookmarks. This makes it easier and more immersive to load new images, and it prevents the hand zones from getting reset.

Which tables does it work with?
It is compatible with the Custom Rectangle Table, the Custom Square Table and the Custom Board. Have in mind that for the custom tables, the image will stretch to have the corresponding aspect ratio (17:10 for the rectangle, 1:1 for the square), while the board will stretch to keep the aspect ratio of the original image. I know there are other popular tables with custom images, but those usually have an integrated way of changing the image. This mod was made to give the standard Tabletop Simulator custom items a more efficient and fun way to store and load images.

Thank you!

I really hope you enjoy my work and it will always be free, but if you want to donate I would really appretiate it! https://ko-fi.com/marianol

Appreciate the reply. I can work around it. Thanks!

Hmm, I see. Its a matter of how custom boards work, and what the book does. It only sets the custom image, but doesn't change the size. The book only stores image links and nothing else. Maybe you can work around it by having all your maps be the same size, but for something more automated, the book doesn't really help as of right now. My suggestion would be to either use all maps of the same size, manually set the size after changing the image, or use another method to store your boards.

Hi, a question about potential scale? I've noticed that when loading an image, it keeps its original proportions and scale (if sent to a board), however, I've noticed that when I upload a battle mat I made in DMD, it sets the same size for a medium map or a large map, despite them being different sizes. Is there a way to account for this, or do I just need to resize minis to fit squares?

No worries, thanks for replying so quickly (and thanks for creating the Daggerheart table - it's outstanding!)

Also, for anyone who has the same question, I hadn't realised that multiple Custom Boards out at the same time can have different images. There isn't a way to choose which board shows which image, so you have to cycle between them. That is:

- If you toggle to Priority: Custom Board, and you have two custom boards in the game, Board 1 will update with your first set image, then Board 2 will update with the second image you set.
- Thus, if you want to change Board 2, you first need to set Board 1 with the image it is currently showing, then set the image you want on Board 2 and that will update Board 2.

In this way, you can have your battle map on one board (since the Custom Board resizes to the image, it doesn't matter what orientation the image is in), and the second can have your scene image. Hope this is useful!

Hello! I don't think there is a way to choose the orientation of the image... This just sets the image of the tts custom take, it only accepts a link and nothing else (I think). You can choose if the book targets the board or the table in the first page.

Hi there - excellent tool!
Is there a way to toggle whether the Custom Table image displays in portrait or landscape? I ask because a lot of my battle maps are oriented in portrait form, which looks very odd when stretched out to landscape on the Custom Table.

I appreciate that I can use a Custom Board for these images, but I have a Custom Board set up to display character and scene images, so it would be very helpful to be able to have the table show the battle map, and keep the board for characters and scenes.

Many thanks in advance!

До того как я увидел вашу работу, мне приходилось хранить на столе в скрытом пуле сотни микро карточек с картинками, чтобы быстро копировать url, а теперь всего пара кликов. Спасибо большое:steamthumbsup:

@Remixed Witch: Hello! By default, it prefers to change the image of the table if the table is customizable. You can change the table to a non custom one and it will change the board. BUT, that said, I just updated it so that you can now choose to give boards priority in the first page of the book :steamhappy:

Hi, how do I change it to target a customer board instead of the table?
