The Zombie Fungus

Normally only found in ants, this fungus grows throughout its host's body, damaging muscles and resulting in seizures and twitching. Then, it spreads to the brain, forcing the host to bite onto a leaf and die.
During this process, a long mycelium growth protrudes from the host's head, eventually spreading spores to complete the cycle. But now, it has spread to a human.
Can the zombie fungus eliminate humanity?
