MS&NW VL80 No. 260

First locomotive that this railroad has bought that was not from the U.S. This engine was donated to the MS&NW Railroad Museum in 1998. Electric locomotives were not really used and were pointless to the MS&NW. Some were donated to electric railroads in different countries. Some were in museums. Or some were scrapped. Only about 3/10 these survive, with one on static display. Only about two of them run, No. 267 is owned by Amtrak, and No. 269 is owned on some other electric railroad in China. The last one, (260) was donated to the MS&NW Railroad museum on static display.
